Wallis Hill CWT
For over a century, Wallis Hill Clear Water Storage tank has provided potable water storage for the town of Seymour. It comprises brick walls supported by unreinforced concrete buttresses and is approximately 35.1m long, 22.2m wide and 5m deep with a nominal capacity of 4ML.
Client Brief
To rehabilitate the tank’s concrete substrate and replace its liner to prolong service life.
What We Delivered:
Concrete patch repairs and crack injection repairs using a hydrophilic polyurethane-based product
Removal and replacement of failed sealant around the perimeter of the tank
Installation of a reinforced ethylene interpolymer alloy liner using a novel method around the concrete buttresses to ensure water retention
Works completed on time and with no environmental or safety incidents, despite the blazing summer heat
